All of those “What would you do” survival guides can never prepare you for what to do when something really goes down. Especially when you’re not exploring the Amazon or hiking up some nature-infested mountain.
A report by WSOC says that a 9-year-old boy remains in serious condition after he was bitten by a rattlesnake last week while playing at a public park in North Charleston.
Charleston County Parks and Recreation officials say the boy was jumping on a log that was about 75 feet off a trail in the woods at the 1,000-acre Wannamaker County Park the day before Thanksgiving when he was bitten twice.
Park guidelines ask visitors to stay on marked paths and trails for safety.
And, we’re not sure if park guidelines stipulate what to do when you piss off a poisonous snake. Hmm.
Either way, authorities say the boy was taken to a hospital, where a spokesman said he remained in serious condition, upgraded from critical just a little while ago.
