In real life, it never goes down quite like it does in the movies.
Instead of some dramatic get-a-way, police are looking for a man who robbed a bank and took off on a bicycle in North Charleston Monday afternoon, so says a report by Live 5 News.
Around 1:47 p.m., North Charleston Police Department officers responded to the First Federal Bank on Rivers Avenue in reference to a bank robbery after a man entered the bank with a handgun and demanded money.
Authorities say the suspect got money, fled on foot from the bank to a bicycle and rode off. But, he didn’t make it very far on the bike; it was found behind a nearby business.
Police describe the suspect as a black male wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, a black mask, and carrying a black backpack.
